Hi! I'm running a bit late with this post. Thank you to everyone who played along with our Tree and/or Leaves challenge - the thumbnail display looked fabulous with its rich autumnal colour palette! Moving on!

WINNER

Such a perfectly CAS and wonderfully bold card.
Love the different die cut leaves, the vibrant string and the sentiment too.
Fantastic work!

HONOURABLE MENTIONS
(in order of submission)

So many gorgeous layers on this card. Love the plaid paper, the spatter.
The colours on the autumn leaves are just fab. And to have a coffee mug too!

Love the autumn leaves stamped on kraft and softness of the colouring.
The die cut framing the sentiment is just super. Perfect little bow on the leaves too!

This bunch of autumn die cut leaves is just super. Love the scripty text on the card too.
The string bow is a super finishing touch.

Congratulations ladies, do pick up your badges from the sidebar and display them on your blogs. There were so many awesome projects for this challenge.

Before I go, a quick reminder that our current challenge has a fun theme for this time of the year:

You have plenty of time to get creative on your masculine projects with a Halloween theme! Have fun!

Winners - Challenge#44 - Theme

Morning! We're here to announce the winners of our Star Trek (or other space series) theme. We didn't have many submissions (sorry, I was being somewhat indulgent of my favourite show). But those that we did get were brilliant. You guys rocked the challenge. So, without further ado:

WINNER

This is brilliant! Love the way the card is in the shape of the Star Trek badge.
Inside it's full of more Star Trek images and quotes too.
Fabulous work!

HONOURABLE MENTIONS
(in order of submission)

Such a fun card. For those who don't know, this is based on Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Love the die cuts and the milky way across the middle of the card.

This is a beautifully clean and simple card with the focus on the 50th anniversary logo.
Super sentiment too.
The universe background is superb and just the perfect backdrop for the USS Enterprise.
So much depth and texture in this card.

Congratulations - do pick up your badges from the sidebar and display them on your blogs.

We're halfway through our current Leaves and/or Trees challenge and you all seem to be loving it - the thumbnail display is super. You've still got time to play along! Have fun!

Challenge #45 - Theme

Hello. Welcome to The Male Room - TMR#45. If this is the first time you've found us, let me explain a little. This is a fortnightly (every two weeks) challenge that focuses on creating something wonderful and crafty for the men and boys in our lives. We are a very inclusive challenge - you can create any type of papercraft project - scrapbook layouts, Project Life layouts, ATCs, tags, bookmarks, 3D projects, mixed media, digital, and, of course, cards. All we ask is that your project follows our theme and is masculine in style.

So, that's a bit of explanation. Now it's time to let you know what we want on your masculine projects for the next couple of weeks. We want to see

LEAVES AND/OR TREES

This gives so much scope and here's some inspiration from the Design Team:

It's the last challenge of September and it's now officially autumn (fall) so you should have lots of fun with this one. You've got until midnight BST (7.00pm EDT) on Tuesday 11th October to play along with us.

Challenge #44 - Theme

Hello. It's time for our new challenge at The Male Room - TMR#44. For the next couple of weeks we have the theme;

STAR TREK (or any other space series)

Why Star Trek? Well, it's because I'm a huge science-fiction fan and because the franchise is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. I started watching the show as a kid in the 60s and I love it. I've just seen the latest Star Trek movie by JJ Abrams and highly recommend it. And because many guys really like sci-fi programmes.

You don't have to stick to Star Trek inspired ideas - and there are thousands from the various TV shows and movies - you can base your space series (science fiction) project on any series from Star Wars, Stingray, Dr Who, Twilight Zone, Stargate, Falling Skies, Six Million Dollar Man, Superman, Quantum Leap, Arrow - and this list goes on!! If your inspiration is not immediately clear, do tell us what show you've picked.

Here's some inspiration from the team:

A couple of video clips with the theme music from the original Star Trek and also from Star Trek The Next Generation:
