An actual jumper - how clever! And so smart with the addition of a bow tie. We loved the red jumper patterned background too.

Challenge #126 - A Box or Bag & A Goodbye, A Hello and a DT Call

Before I get on to today's new challenge I've a goodbye to say to two of our DT and a hello to a new member of the team.

We are very sad to see Monika and Wei step down from the team and wish them every success in their future crafting and other life.

The flip side to this is of course the addition of brand new DT members.

We're thrilled to be welcoming Granne to the team. I'm sure you've all spotted her amazing projects in the challenge galleries, but here's a little introduction so you can get to know her a bit more.

I'm a Finnish mother of 2 teenage girls. I’ve been stamping since 2011, I got started when my neighbour introduced me to the world of stamping and paper crafting in real life and in blog land; that’s how my blog also got it’s name: Granne (=neighbour in Swedish).
Usually I make cards, but I do love making ATC’s too, and and and ... what ever seems to be fun and inspires me. Sometimes things work out nicely sometimes not, but I have fun creating.

Granne is kickstarting her time as a DT member by joining in with the new challenge which is all about creating a box or bag.

Here's Granne amazing altered cigar box:

But that still leaves us one short, so would like to be that new DT member?

Take a look at our requirements at the bottom of this post and then if you'd like to give it a shot simply enter this challenge and put DT after your name when you link up the photo of your masculine project.

We're delighted to introduce you to our very talented and creative Guest Designer Andreja.

Aren't those fungi awesome? And I love the addition of the twine - a superb way to keep everything tied up and still masculine.

And of course you'll be inspired by the work of the wonderful Male Room Design team too. Just look at what they have created - so clever!

Challenge #125 - Inspired by Ugly Sweaters

Hi everyone!

Time for the next challenge here at The Male Room. And have we got a fun one!

You know all those sweaters we get out every year at Christmas? Some are pretty awful and we'd never been seen in anything similar for the rest of the year! Well we'd like your card to be inspired by a pattern, picture or colour from one of those.

Of course your card doesn't have to be ugly, you can upmarket the design and make it as cute or funny or beautiful or if you prefer stick with the ugly. And it doesn't have to be a Christmas jumper that inspires you either. All your project  has to be is suitable for a male to receive. Remember it can be anything paper based - card, journal page, scrapbook page, 3D item, tag, altered art ......

We're really lucky to have Vicky as our Guest Designer for this challenge and she has made the most beautiful card with some gorgeous colours. And yes I think I've seen a sweater with a snowman just like that - but maybe it had a light up nose!

And how about this selection from our DT? I think they've come across some prime examples in their time if their cards are anything to go by!

Hello everyone!

Time to announce our winners from the challenge Pirates. For some reason this did not seem to be a popular theme as not many entered. Despite there being loads of cute pirate stamps out there at the moment. Our thanks to those that did enter and the DT have now decided on the winner of the challenge and it is............

The DT just loved this super cute pop up box. Perfect for the theme.

Congratulations Cardogram!

Challenge #124 - Hobbies

Hey everyone!

It's time for a new challenge here at The Male Room and we're really hoping you're going to like it more than our last challenge! We know you're all heavily into Christmas creating mode, but we'd like you to take a break and think about the hobbies that the men in your life enjoy and make a card, scrapbook layout, art journal page, ATC, canvas or 3D project to celebrate it.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Lynn and she's gone for my other half's favourite sport golf. and just look at that background paper - inspired choice don't you think?

Had to smile at that sentiment quote too! Please pop over to Lynn's blog and tell her what a crafting star she is. Find it HERE.

And The Male Room's DT are all stars too and have put away the Christmas supplies for a bit to inspire you to join in and play along with us. Round of applause please........
