Winners - Challenge #17 Stash - Newsprint

Oops!  I'm running a tad late with this post - should have been up first thing this morning.  I got caught up in housework - yes, I know, I'm obviously not feeling well :)

We really enjoyed your newsprint projects and it was tough to pick just one winner, in fact we have two winners this time!

WINNERS
(in order of submission)

We love the way you've used the colours from the newsprint in the main image.
A super masculine card.

Lots of texture here with the string and corrugated card.
Another great use of newsprint.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS
(in order of submission)

This one really made us smile.
Love that vulture and the way you've coloured him to allow the newsprint to show.

Love the colours and the vintage car.
Great use of the newsprint element too.

We really like the way there is newsprint in the background and the image.
Great colours in the sky too.

Ladies - you really rocked this challenge.  Do pick up your badges from the side bar and display them on your blogs.

This week's challenge to incorporate FRUIT on your masculine projects seems to be causing a few problems - not so many submissions so far.  Come on - get creative and use FRUIT in your masculine themed projects.  Deadline for submission is midnight on Tuesday 15th September (that's 7.00pm EDT).

Theme: Vacation/On the Beach (Challenge 16) - Winners

We had over 40 submissions to our Vacation/On the Beach theme challenge with a variety of styles and even a scrapbook layout.  It was great to see so many superb entries, and it made it quite tough for us to pick our winners, but we've done it.

WINNER

Beautifully clean and simple, with a touch of dimension.
Love the blue shells and the softly shaded sand - reallly capture the feel of a beach.

HONORURABLE MENTIONS
(in order of submission)

A clean and layered card.
We love the lighthouse and the way you've created the sea!

We really love the warm rich sun behind the ship silhouette.
Love the addition of the wheel charm too.

We really love the background created using Encaustic techniques.
The skyline is fab - a wonderful vacation spot.

Congratulations to all our winners - don't forget to pick up your badges from our side bar and display them on your blog.  Looks like we've had a thing for clean and simple cards.

We're halfway through our Stash challenge to use NEWSPRINT on your masculine projects.  You've still got plenty of time to join in - deadline for submission is Tuesday 1st September at midnight BST (7.00pm EDT).

I'm sorry this is up a bit late!!

Challenge #16 - Theme - Vacation/On the Beach

Good Morning!  We're getting well into summer now and I noticed last night on the weather that the sunset times are creeping in, but we've still got time to celebrate this wonderful season.  Our new challenge here at The Male Room is based on the theme VACATION OR ON THE BEACH.  You can make any kind of papercraft project - ATC, cards, scrapbook, mixed media, 3D - but it must be for the men in our lives and be based on our theme.  Go wild and have fun!!

Our Guest Designer this month is Sue of Cards by Q and here's Sue's take on the theme:

And now for some more inspiration from the rest of the team.  Don't forget to drop by and visit our blogs - we all like a comment or two.
