I think I've probably been crafting all my life, starting at primary school with a love of embroidery and knitting. Building on this my Nan taught me how to sew and I made dolls clothes, aprons and then my own clothes. I studied to be a primary school teacher with craft as my main subject - this included weaving, collage and dressmaking. Over the next few years I dabbled in many crafts including cross stitch, macrame, patchwork, crochet, - you name it I've probably given it a go!
Currently
my main craft interests are scrapbooking and card making and I love nothing
better than to disappear into my craft room for hours at a time. I think my
style has really developed over the last two years since I discovered challenge
blogs and started my blog so that I could enter them. Now I'm more or less
firmly in the CAS camp, however I love to try new things and admire all
different genres. With
three sons and three grandsons you could say The Male Room is a pretty good fit
for me and I'm super excited to be joining the DT. I'm really looking
forward to starting this new adventure and getting to know everyone.
Hi, I am Sue T.- yes that is what everyone calls me. I have been stamping since 1996. It truly became an obsession when a stamp store opened 5 minutes from my house. I love making cards. There isn’t a holiday that I don’t send them out. I have dabbled in just about every style over the years, but have found my niche with CAS cards. In the real world, I am a FT endoscopy nurse, working on my Master’s. I have a wonderful husband who is my best cheerleader and critic. My muse in my studio is my sweet kitty, Pinkie.
One other thing - you've probably noticed that we've had a bit of a redesign here at The Male Room - we do hope you like the crisp new look. Thanks to Kylie Purtell for doing all the hard work - she's done a super job.
Here at The Male Room we aim to provide inspiration and ideas when making projects for the men in our lives - both young and old, cute and grumpy - they are all special to us, but creating for guys can sometimes be difficult. We provided challenges to help you create and any kind of paper craft is welcome, but it must have a masculine feel. For the next couple of weeks we'd like your projects to feature:
