Create Background Paper (Challenge #04) - Winners

Good morning all!  We had so many fabulous submissions for our Create a Background Paper challenge - it made it really tough to pick a winner, but we did!

WINNERS
(in order of submission)

We really like the clean, graphic look to your card.
The lovely ombre effect and that super shaped divide.

Another bold orange card - we really like the embossed background.
We like the bold ampersand too.

We really like the way you've blended the colours on the background.
Love the slightly grungy effect too!

Congratulations ladies - please pick up your badge from the top of the page and display it on your blog.  Thanks you all for playing along.

Before I go, I need to remind you that there's still plenty of time to play along with our current challenge.  We'd like you to create a masculine themed project based on this sketch.  Your project can be clean, simple, 3D, grungy, a scrapbook layout, a tag - you can choose any theme, but you must use the sketch and it must be masculine in style.  Have fun!!

Don't forget we're still looking for a number of new people to join our Design Team.  In order to be considered you must play along with this week's sketch challenge and the following challenge too.  If you want to be considered, added the initial DT after your name.

DT Call and Challenge #05 - Sketch

Good morning all!  It's March already - spring should be here soon, although there's not much sign of it here in Michigan.  There's still lots of snow on the ground along with arctic like temperatures!  Never mind, I've some news that I hope will make you want to stay in your nice warm craft room and play!  You may have noticed that we have lost a few team members recently.  Sadly, Jacqueline of Deezinesart, who started this challenge in July 2013 has also had to step down.  We miss you ladies.

So we need to get some new members and we're having

DESIGN TEAM CALL

The Male Room is a fortnightly (that's every two weeks) challenge focusing on creating something wonderful and crafty for the men and boys in our lives.  You can make anything - a card, scrapbook page, 3D project, ATC, tag - so long as it's a paper craft and has is a masculine styled project that's fine.  If you are interested in joining the team you must play along with our next two challenges - this week's sketch and challenge #06.  Please add DT after your name if you would like to be considered.  If selected you will be required to make one project for each challenge, comment on entries and help pick the top three.

Now onto the first challenge of March - we've got a sketch for you to play with.  Jacqueline designed this one - have fun with it.  Just remember - it MUST have a masculine feel!

The team have some fabulous cards using the sketch.  Check them out below and don't forget to visit and leave a comment - we love to hear from you!

Challenge 04 - Create Background Paper

Good morning all!  It's time for our new challenge At The Male Room. For the next couple of weeks we'd like to see your masculine style projects featuring the technique:

Make your Own Background Paper

As always your project can be any style - just let your imagination go wild.
While we do encourage creativity, we do have a few rules:

  1. Your project MUST have a masculine feel.
  2. You must use the chosen theme - MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND PAPER.
  3. You can make any kind of paper project.
