Winners - Challenge#34 - Theme

Hello! Thanks to everyone who played along with our Shakespeare challenge, I think it caused some difficulty as the numbers were down a bit, but the quality of those who played along was brilliant. We liked the way you all interpreted the challenge differently, from playing with quotes to a picture of the man himself. Anyway, it's time to announce the winners.

WINNER

This is a wonderful collage style card.
We really like the blend of literature and architecture, so much texture too.
Great quote - perfect for the challenge!

HONOURABLE MENTIONS
(in order of submission)

A perfectly CAS and so elegant take on a quote from Hamlet.
Such a fun card too!

A very clever take on another Hamlet quote - you can work it out from the pencil!
Great colours and texture here too.

Congratulations to you all - do pick up your badges from the sidebar and display them on your blog.

Finally a quick reminder of our current theme challenge - TRANSPORT - this is proving to be popular and you still have time to join in.

Challenge #34 - Theme & DT Call

Morning! Before we get to details about our new challenge, The Male Room is looking for some new design team members:
DESIGN TEAM CALL

The Male Room is a fortnightly (that's every two weeks) challenge. We focus on the men and boys in our lives. You can make anything - a card, scrapbook page, 3D project, banner, ATC, tag - so long as it's a paper craft and has a masculine style, that's fine. Our current DT tends toward clean and simple, so we're actively looking for crafters who like other styles, including mixed media and 3D work. If you are interested in joining the team you must play along with our next two challenges - this week's theme and challenge #35. Please add DT after your name if you want to be considered. If selected you will be required to make one project for each challenge, comment on entries and help pick the Winner and Honourable Mentions.

Now, details of our new challenge at The Male Room - TMR#34. For the next couple of weeks we want to see your masculine style project based on the theme

SHAKESPEARE

This year sees the world celebrating the life and works of William Shakespeare who died on 23 April 1616. How you interpret the theme Shakespeare is up to you, but do explain in your post. You could
be inspired by his sonnets, plays, his place of birth, or even quotes from his plays. Shakespeare also introduced many new words into the English language - you could play on that too!

Here's some inspiration from the Design Team:
